By the end of this guide your evidence packs will carry your agency's logo and colours, and you will have previewed the landlord and tenant views with demo links before anything is sent.
The proposals and evidence packs your landlords and tenants open should look like they came from your agency. Three jobs get you there: upload your branding, switch it on for evidence packs, then use demo links to check what each party sees before anything goes out.
Steps
-
Open Settings and go to Brand
Sign in to MarketRent and open Settings, then Brand. The logos and colours you add here carry through to the app and the documents you send.
-
Upload your logos and set your brand colours
Add your main logo at 3:1 and a square version at 1:1, then enter your three brand colours. Use the best-quality logo files you have, because they appear on customer-facing documents.
-
Switch on customer branding for your evidence pack
Enable customer branding so the evidence packs sent to landlords and tenants carry the branding you uploaded. Save the change before you move on.
-
Check your company addresses
While you are in Settings, confirm your company addresses are complete and current. They populate every field on the Section 13 notice, so an out-of-date address here ends up on a statutory document.
-
Preview the landlord view with a demo link
Demo links show you exactly what the landlord and the tenant will see at every stage, from the landlord proposal through to the final submitted response. Open the landlord view first and check the proposal reads well and carries your logo and colours.
-
Preview the tenant view before you send anything
Switch to the tenant view and read the notice and evidence pack as your tenant will. Do this early: the evidence pack locks once you propose, and a document that has been sent cannot be edited.
Tips
- Demo links work at every stage, so you can sanity-check what a tenant will see before a notice is served rather than after.
- Re-issuing creates a new document rather than editing the old one. That is deliberate: the record of what was actually sent stays intact for your audit trail.
- Branding is set once in Settings and applies to the packs and documents your whole team sends, so it does not need repeating per review.
With your branding in place, set up review flagging and chase emails, then run your first rent review.
